The End of an Era.

I haven't been posting much lately.

Fact is, my blog is called "twenty.seven." and its about adventures at the end of my twenties.

...and I'll be 30 on Thursday.

I've decided to move on. Start a new blog soon, which reflects my new life. Big changes happening. But first, a look back...

In the last 3 years I have done many things. It's been a PRODUCTIVE three years.
And I think I'm ready to move on.

But before I do, a little tribute to my late 20's...

DEAR LATE 20's,

You brought me...

A new car.

New experiences. Like ice fishing.

A new family. (Brian's)

Re-connection with old friends

A new love for co-ed softball

You brought me wonderful weekends and vacations with friends. I went places, near and far...

Arkansas

The Cape

Eustis

Kansas

Philly

Lake Tahoe

I learned that I...

Will always love my work. (But need to keep boundaries and learn to say NO!)

Never regret giving back and exploring a new place.
And NEED to go back to Guatemala.

That sometimes, winning at trivia is just the BEST.
And your goofiest friends can be the most fun.

And that my family is still the center of my world.

I attended more weddings, showers, bachelorettes, engagement parties, and general matrimony-related events than I could ever list or describe here...

And I watched some of my dearest friends become mothers.

And welcomed my first niece, Penelope.

I lost one of my heroes.
But am forever grateful for the years that I had with my Gramps.

And found myself by becoming more healthy.

But the greatest thing I gained in the last three years was LOVE.

I became domestic. Made a home of my own with Brian.

I had faith in someone I loved very much, and moved my life to Plymouth.

I lost and found him. And then everything started falling into place.
Because he taught me patience, faith, and understanding.

It wasn't always rainbows and butterflies.

But mostly it is pretty amazing.

I find myself, on the precipice of 30, ready for the next step.

Which is marrying my best friend.

Thanks for following my journey. I'm ready to move on, and I look forward to sharing the next chapter with whomever is interested in hearing about it!

Thank you, LATE TWENTIES, for being the most fun, turbulent, dynamic, challenging, and remarkable period of my life to date.

CHEERS TO THE NEXT CHAPTER!
